With Colnaghi & Co. Ltd. London, from whom bought by Sir Robert Abdy (died November 1976), on 8 January 1960, as Willem Van de Velde the Younger (according to a label on the reverse; see also Literature).

 

Sotheby's Amsterdam Auction 9 May 2006 Lot 66 (as Follower of "before it was cleaned and restored") to present owner.
